Kforce Automation Test Engineer in Windsor Mill, Maryland

Kforce has a client in Windsor Mill, Maryland (MD) that is seeking an Automation Test Engineer.Overview:This position will be an Automation Subject Matter Expert (SME), having the engineering background of a Software Developer with the quality mindset of a QA Test with a passion for Test Automation. The position will be an Automation Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for developing test automation frameworks, solutions and script development for healthcare applications in the CICDIM contract, to deliver timely, high quality software within defined budgets and schedules. The Test Automation SME will define the QA Automation testing strategies and will be responsible for execution of such plans to achieve the quality goals of the company. The position will guide and mentor technical testers and provide test automation support to an agile development process. The ideal candidate would need experience to improve testing productivity with innovative tools, solutions and frameworks.Duties:

  • Design and Develop test automation solutions and scripts using Unified Functional Test (UFT) Tool to improve testing productivity

  • Provide technical direction to testing team members to adherence test automation standards

  • Lead, mentor and motivate team members to maximize their potential, foster innovation, boost productivity, and to deliver high quality software

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5 to 10 years of experience with Automation Framework methodologies

  • 5 to 10 years of experience with automation tools such as Telerik Test Studio, Selenium or QTP/UFT

  • Experience to improve testing productivity with innovative tools, solutions and frameworks

  • Advanced knowledge of scripting in languages such as C#, Java, VBScript, JavaScript, ANT or Maven

  • Hands on experience in building test automation scripts, frameworks and test harness solutions using test automation tools

  • Experience in taking ownership and leading test automation in core functional product areas

  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude; Strong dedication to customer service

  • Strong analytical (ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions), organizational and communication skills

  • Strong desire to succeed and contribute individually and as a member of a team

  • Able to write reports/correspondence, and present information and respond to questions from managers/customers

  • Proficiency in the use MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio)

Skills Preferred:

  • Experience with QTP/UFT testing tool

  • Experience with IT Federal contracting

  • Experience in the Health Industry

  • Experience developing test cases, execute, generate evidence files, defect tracking

  • Holds active certification in any Software Testing

  • Growth oriented, sincere desire for self-betterment
