Journeyman Lineman Job Description Warren County REMC, located in Williamsport, Indiana, is accepting applications to fill a Journeyman Lineman position with the line construction crew. Responsibilities will be assigned based on the successful candidates level of training, but will include types of work involved with the installation, maintenance, operation, removal and inspection of electrical distribution facilities, which includes substations. The successful candidate for this position must have completed an approved 4 year power line apprenticeship program. Must have a high school diploma/GED. The candidate must also hold/acquire a Class A Commercial Drivers License within the first six months of employment. Candidates must successfully pass a background check, drug/alcohol screen, and a physical. Warren County REMC offers an excellent compensation package which includes health insurance, a traditional pension plan and 401K. Normal work week is Monday through Friday with on-call responsibilities. There is a residency requirement for this position and the applicant selected will be required to live within a 10 mile radius of the Williamsport office.
