The Salvation Army has a great opportunity for a System/Network Administrator. This position has responsibility for servers and hardware appliances and maintaining approved standards for business continuity. The successful candidate must possess a strong working knowledge of a corporate Microsoft environment, have a passion to build and implement new systems, and enjoy working in a collaborative, team environment. The position is conveniently located near Westchester County, New York and Bergen County, New Jersey. Travel is minimal.


The primary responsibilities include the following systems:

  • Supporting and Managing a Microsoft Environment including but not limited to:

  • Active Directory Architecture

  • Certificate Authority

  • Group Policy Administration

  • DNS and DHCP Administration

  • Federated Services automating common network tasks through scripting

  • Maintaining Linux based server systems

  • Web Server administration including setup and troubleshooting

  • Cloud solution technologies


  • Must have Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University

  • Five to Seven years of related work experience

  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert 2012 (MCSE) preferred

  • Proven experience in managing multiple demands

  • Has a bias for technical learning

  • Proven project management and risk management skills

  • Strong organization, written and verbal communication and presentation skills

  • Strong analytical and a strong aptitude for troubleshooting network problems

  • A self-starter and results driven
