Job Title: Control Division – DDC Programmer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to read mechanical plans and specifications

  • Interpret specifications and create program logic to implement the sequence as written

  • Develop floor plan graphics depicting the building and displaying the appropriate HVAC control points as specified

  • Develop HVAC graphics of equipment being controlled to provide a complete graphical user interface

  • Perform commissioning and operational testing of controlled equipment

  • Troubleshoot and service software and control hardware

  • Exercises executive authority over the planning, direction and control of a designated project

  • Makes technical decisions required by the project as authorized by the charter

  • Reports status of his project to company leadership on a recurring basis

  • Maintain safe work environment on all projects

  • Promote and participate in education and training opportunities that allow the company and its employees to meet stated goals, objectives and business plans

  • Provide a “role model” example of the company’s business and work ethic as delineated in IKM’s Mission Statement


Education and Experience:

  • High school graduate or equivalent

  • Graduate of two-year technical curriculum at Junior College preferred

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in field operations

  • Knowledge and experience in programming Schneider-Invensys TAC-I/A is preferred

  • Knowledge and experience in Tridium control is preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • In depth knowledge of HVAC&R; systems and related supporting utilities

  • Knowledge of local and industry codes that regulate the HVAC&R; industry

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Ability to interface with project manager and field personnel

Computer Skills:

  • MicrosoftExcel, Outlook, Word, Project

  • HVAC and DDC Control

  • DDC Control programming experience

  • Ethernet addressing and cabling standards

  • Experience programming Tridium, R2, AX and/or Schneider-Invensys TAC-I/A control systems, is a plus
