Scheduling Analyst

This position is with Archetype, the governmental consulting and advisory branch of Value Recovery Holding LLC (“VRH”), supporting the Army Office of Energy Initiatives (“OEI”), Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army, Installations, Energy and Environment (“ASA IE&E;”).

General Description:

The Scheduling Analyst (“SA”) is responsible for the overall management and integration of project schedules and tasking related to specific renewable energy projects. Under the guidance of the Program Manager, the SA will take ownership for completing regular scheduling responsibilities, providing scheduling analysis and recommendations to meet program goals. This position requires detailed, accurate, and timely completion of scheduling reports.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establishes work-flow polices and schedules to accomplish assigned projects, plans, and activities associated with approved office missions and functions, including development and maintenance of project specific project plans;

  • Performs maintenance of project support schedules, meeting scheduling and logistics, written correspondence, filing, review of documents for consistency, grammar, and context, work flow management, travel reservations, special projects, communication and coordination with staff and senior executive stakeholders;

  • Ensures all data for assigned projects is entering promptly in project monitoring systems and ensures this data is always up to date and accurate;

  • Provides in-depth analysis support for structuring, updating, and maintaining assigned project plans and supports review of project financial statements, progress and engineering reports, covenant compliance certificates, collateral reports, and other information;

  • Supports the Portfolio Manager by providing key project support in assessing viability of potential renewable energy project opportunities as part of a team of engineers and management professionals;

  • Responsible for providing management and integration support for specific renewable energy projects to ensure the successful performance of the order.Tasks include management support for activities, such as budgeting, manpower, resource planning, and financial reporting;

  • Supports the execution of a risk management process that assists in identifying, managing, monitoring, and reducing risks in the portfolio of projects supported;

  • Interfaces with government management personnel and contract managers, providing regular reports of progress;

  • Schedules and ensures assignments are completed as directed; reviews/resolves work discrepancies to ensure compliance with contract requirements;

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Communicates clearly, courteously and effectively with VRH staff, OEI staff, and external parties;

  • Is well organized with the ability to properly prioritize and is adept at time management;

  • Possesses the skills and abilities necessary to ensure effective compliance monitoring and reporting for overall project risk management for all projects assigned;

  • Proficient in applying analytical methods and evaluation techniques to a broad range of functional areas such as project and corporate risk assessment, accounting and corporate finance to evaluate the viability of a project;

  • Demonstrates skills in oral and written communications and in making presentations and explaining projects status to a variety of audiences;

  • Prepares or collaborates with other senior staff in the preparation of comprehensive position papers, memorandums, and/or briefing materials across all phases of operations for use with senior management;

  • Possesses a high degree of pride and attention to detail with work product;

  • Trains new staff on procedures as necessary.

Desired Capabilities:

  • Knowledgeable in the range of financial, market, credit, and technical risks inherent in the distinct renewable energy technologies (e.g., wind, solar, geothermal, etc.), as well as appropriate mitigation approaches;

  • Experienced in project planning, execution and management;

  • Experienced in managing and integrating projects involving engineering, environmental issues and finance;

  • Valid DOD National Agency Check/Security clearance;

  • Strong Excel modelling skills and experience;

  • Proficient in MS Project.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have one of the following combinations of experience and education:

  • Master’s degree in any subject and 2 years of experience;

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 or more years of experience;

  • Associates degree/Military Training and 10 years of experience; or

  • HS degree and 14 or more years of experience;

  • Must be able to pass a background check;

  • US Citizenship.
