The Avangrid Renewables, LLC (“Company” or “AR”) Permitting & Environmental team is seeking an Operations Wildlife Compliance Specialist with the proficiencies described below. Position will report to Avangrid’s OperationsWildlife Compliance Manager in Portland, OR. Tasks will focus on wildlife activities associated with AR operating assets across the U.S. Background As part of AR’s Wildlife Protection Program, a Wildlife Management and Reporting System (WMRS) is utilized to monitor and internally report wildlife injury and fatalities discovered during construction and operations. This is completed through voluntary, long-term operational monitoring conducted by operations and maintenance (O&M;) personnel. These O&M; personnel monitor and record wildlife injuries, fatalities, and observations to assess potential long-term operational impacts (trends) of a Project, or collectively, fleet-wide. Operational monitoring also includes guidance to O&M; personnel for discovery and recording of fatalities and injured wildlife, but does not involve salvage, collection, transportation or possession. Operations Wildlife Compliance relies on a close working relationship with the AR Field Services division to collect and report data necessary for the program, and it’s imperative that adequate training and support is provided to assist with incident response. AR also prepares an annual report to document activities, summarize key observations, and recommend program improvements. Responsibilities include:
