Chief Information Officer
Summary of Duties
The Chief Information Officer will provide vision, leadership and hands on support for developing and implementing information technology initiatives and solutions for RK Mechanical, Inc. This position is responsible for making key decisions on systems design and ensures technology is effectively deployed across the enterprise. This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer and will be focused on optimizing team efficiencies, automation, evaluation and adopting new technologies.
Lead strategic planningto achieve business goals by identifying and prioritizing developmentinitiatives and setting timetables for the evaluation, development, anddeployment of services.
Drive a dynamic team accountable for servicedelivery to internal and external customers.
Lead ongoing improvement initiatives toinformation technology systems, infrastructure and network efficiency.
Analyze the needs of different departments anddetermine ways to meet business objectives by modifying existing ordeveloping new information systems.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technologystandards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and softwaredevelopment best practices.
Ensure that technology standards are maintainedacross the organization.
Align efforts with quantifiable improvementmetrics and overall organizational strategies.
Develop, track, and control the development anddeployment of IT annual operating and capital budgets for purchasing,staffing, and operations.
Lead product evaluations, negotiate contracts,and maintain relationships with a broad range of vendors.
Responsible for the development, review, andcertification of all back-up, disaster recovery, and business continuityprocedures and plans.
Ensure company technical problems are resolved ina timely and cost-effective manner.
Collaborate with internal and external peers toidentify, evaluate, and recommend technologies that support organizationalneeds.
Participate as a member of the senior managementteam in establishing governance processes, direction and control to ensurethat objectives are achieved, risks are managed appropriately, andresources are used responsibly.
Solidtrack record as the top level of IT leadership.
Experienceestablishing direction and leading the development of short and long-term ITstrategies and objectives.
Wellskilled in determining and promoting company goals, strategies, products,services and achievements to key internal and external stakeholders.
Ultimateaccountability for overall IT performance results of the organization.
Adeptin negotiating critical and potentially controversial issues with top-levelemployees and officers.
Demonstratedhigh degree of creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in planning,organizing and guiding extensive programs and activities of importance.
Experiencemanaging autonomous individuals, managers and diverse groups.
Expertin field, extensive relevant experience, 15+ years.
Mastersor college/university graduate or equivalent combination of skills andexperience.
Experience in theconstruction industry desired but not required
