Now, if you were to come on board as one of ourEnvironmental Services Managers, we-d ask you to do the following for us:

  • Be responsible for the financial management of the costs and expenses of the budget.

  • Schedule major project work, assuring that adequate staff and supplies are available to perform tasks.

  • Manage preventative equipment maintenance and assure a safe work environment for the staff.

  • Constant focus is on quality management.

  • Conduct regular inventory of housekeeping supplies and orders, keeping costs in line with approved budgetary amounts.

  • Interview, select, hire, evaluate and recommend termination of facility housekeeping personnel in accordance with Compass- standards.

  • Plan work schedules, hours, areas of work and job duties to ensure adequate housekeeping services are rendered to all areas.

  • Assure that staff is trained in accordance with JCAHO guidelines.

  • You have at least five years of management experience, preferably in a management environmental services role.

  • You have working knowledge of all housekeeping procedures and laundry management.

  • You have strong financial management abilities.

  • You have great people management skills and labour relations experience.

  • You have the ability to communicate effectively in written format and oral presentations.

  • You have strong organizational and time management skills.

  • You have excellent customer service and client-relationship skills.

  • You have strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • You have excellent computer skills, especially using Microsoft Office Suite applications.
