Collects data for the unit's operating budget, consolidates material into an annual unit budget; sets up controls to monitor expenses during the year; and recommends budget adjustments including restructuring budget allocations or work plans to deal with changing situations such as varying costs for equipment parts, or services, and changes in the availability of funds. If applicable, may work closely with the budget analyst for the unit. Alerts the Administrative Officer or other authority of significant issues/problems, such as overspending in assigned accounts. Serves as property clerk. Maintains the park's property inventory records ensuring all property is properly numbered and accounted for. Assists with disposal of excess property in accordance with applicable procedures. Assists supervisor in the annual inventory of property. Issues keys and badges to all employees. Reviews or conducts the purchasing or micro purchasing. Receives acquisition requests from employees, reviews them for accurate account numbers, object codes, justification etc. before sending to the Contracting Officer. Promptly submits payments on all invoices. Uses computers and appropriate software for data collection, analysis and collating. Prepares reports, forms and tabular material, providing proper spacing, heading and arrangement for ease of understanding and information processing.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify for this position at the GS-07 grade level, applicants must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to successfully perform the duties of this position. Examples of specialized experience may include: providing a wide variety of administrative support services to enable efficient operation of a business or program office; the independent operation of computerized information systems; tracking and reconciling fiscal data for programmed accounts versus actual expenditures; preparing and following up on purchase orders and contracts; administering payroll and time and attendance; preparing a variety of forms and other administrative paperwork; and performing property management work. EDUCATION: Graduate education may be credited in those few instances where the graduate education is directly related to the work of the position.**
