Senior Sourcing Category Manager - IT Out Sourcing
Reporting to the Corporate Strategic Sourcing, the Outsourcing Senior Category Manager is responsible for building strong relationships and leading their business stakeholders through sourcing and category management activities in order to deliver the best value to the bank while Building and sustaining relationships with vendors. The successful candidate will provide subject matter expertise and strategic guidance within the assigned category support and instill appropriate sourcing and purchasing processes and procedures, as well as ensuring compliance with the overall related programs: influence and support stakeholders and appropriate lines of business in their sourcing decisions: lead and participate in cross-functional teams in support of the strategic Sourcing and Procurement programs; and own the results of the Outsourcing Services Category assignments.
As an individual contributor, implement and execute bank-wide Strategic Sourcing and Contract activities for the Outsourcing category of approximately $200 million in annual spend. The choosen candidate will be responsible for pipeline (value, savings) delivery; in addition to measuring and tracking performance relating to spend and budgetary impact. Additional responsibilities will include:
A. Performance of market research to obtain market knowledge and experience to develop negotiation strategies.
B. Analyses of appropriate spend categories and market conditions for appropriate application of proven sourcing strategies.
C. Performance of cost price analysis on complex proposals in order to provide bidder comparison
D. Refinement of detailed business requirements in order to structure all elements of an RFP or other Bid Event including technical, contractual, schedule and costs, in order to ensure that uniformed bids are received.
E . Proven capabilities to provide end to end independent execution of multiple simultaneous, complex sourcing events and contractual activities.
F . A proven ability to apply a professional approach to internal stakeholders in order to become a trusted advisor.
G. Maintenance and development of subject matter expertise in support of other related categories.
This position requires specialized knowledge and experience in work involving advising business line management how best to leverage supplier sourcing to minimize cost, with overall continuous improvement. Requires minimum of 5 years leading Strategic Sourcing groups; 8 years of strategic sourcing and supplier relations experience in assigned category specialty. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Finance or equivalent business experience; MBA; Experience in designing, deploying or managing E-Sourcing tools and technology preferred; strong teamwork and collaboration skills; Excellent Analytical skills, continuous improvement mind-set; Excellent technical Source-to-Pay, negotiations and project management skills; Excellent business / financial acumen; understands cost structures and drivers; Ability to prioritize and work on multiple activities at one time; Excellent written, graphical and oral communication skills with internal clients, external partners and team members; strong influencing and relationship skills; polished interpersonal skills; Ability to work independently in a dynamic, ambiguous and newly forming organization.
A. Prior experience procuring, consuming, or selling Outsource labor services.
B. Six Sigma Black or Green Belt certification
C . Knowledge of Ariba Sourcing and Contracts Modules.
D . Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or equivalent certification
E. Knows how to develop contractual instruments (MSAs, SOWs, etc.)in accordance with best practices, assists the business owner in the creation of SLAs, provides clarity and addresses all LOB requirements. Facilitates the collection of additional data from vendor managers as required to support business needs
F. Experience with complex terminology used in constructing contractual documents
