Financial Analysis Manager is a key member of the Integrated Services for the Americas Division (ISA) of Union Bank. This position will be reporting directly to the Director - Finance Manager. In this role, you will be providing comprehensive and complex financial analyses for the bank’s IT Project Financials. You will prepare complex analytical and financial reports. Plan and analyze expense and capital expenditures. Assist in implementing the IT service catalog by leading cost pool creation and unit rate calculations. Working with senior management, you will liaise with the finance and project management community to ensure timely availability of financial reporting for major project portfolios. Create executive level reporting and ad-hoc analysis.
Major Responsibilities include:/*
Prepare comprehensive financial models for various projects to deliver cash flow forecast, scenario analysis, risk assessment and return analysis
Help coordinate the drawdown formalities of the banks approved semi-annual project spending budgets across the bank and within the Line of Business
Manage the budget and forecast process or Bank-Wide technology projects, including associated analysis of financial results, developing financial summaries, and presentation to senior management.
Act as a strategic advisor to business partners by advising on business cases, cost containment strategies, trends, and financial performance.
Collaborating with various stakeholders in corporate FP&A, controllers, sourcing and A/P on finance topics such as budgeting, forecasting, accruals, etc.
Improving and establishing financial governance as needed for reporting and annual budgeting (capital and operating).
Support special projects and business combinations by constructing appropriate financial analysis.
Provides written analysis and interpretation of results. Maintains financial systems or databases.
Maintain a close understanding of business risks and opportunities.
Develop and maintain financial systems or databases solutions.
Establishes financial assumptions and critical decision variables.
Performs additional duties and special projects, as assigned.
Responsible for month end close including balance sheet roll forward, variance explanations, accruals, and fixed asset reporting/monitoring.
/Education and Experience Requirements:/
BS/BA in Finance, Business or Accounting required CPA, CFA or MBA desired.
Financial administration back ground of major project costing tools a plus (e.g. Clarity, Oracle)
7 years of increasingly more complex responsibility in performing financial analysis.
Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Financial and business acumen.
Knowledge and experience with Hyperion, PeopleSoft, Excel, Power Point and Business Objects.
Experience with an IT service catalog (and ComSci or AppTio) desired
