Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Spend Management, the ESM 1stLine Director – is responsible for establishing an end to end contract and sourcing governance function that complies with regulatory, third party risk management and legal requirements. In this role, the Director oversees contract audit activities as well as critical and high risk contract remediation efforts.

The ESM 1stLine function ensures compliance to policies through a programmatic approach including testing and analysis. The team regularly updates policies to include process improvements or changes to the risk environment. The team also regularly updates the contract templates working with internal stakeholder groups and Legal.

As needed, the Director will interface with regulators as an ESM representative and will serve as the subject matter expert for policy and risk items as they relate to ESM. The team will oversee the remediation of Sourcing and Contract audit items.

The Director will work closely with other third party management functions and 2ndline functions to drive improvement in the contract documentation, retrieval and flow process.

Minimum of 7 years in sourcing and contracts and prior contract risk/governance experience. Knowledge of the regulatory environment. Bachelor's degree required; JD or MBA preferred; Direct experience in negotiating contracts under OCC 2013-29 strongly preferred; additional qualifications:

  • Professional certifications preferred
