Responsibilities & Tasks

We are looking for someone who is passionate about driving regional news flow, media relations and digital outreach. As a Global News & Media Manager, you will have a global view and responsibility on a regional level. You will be supporting the Global News & Media Director and focusing on region Western Central Europe which consists of 16 countries in Europe! In this role, you will be driving Ericsson brand visibility by supporting internal and external news flow using digital channels and social media as well as traditional media in the region.

You will also be activating global campaigns in relevant regional channels and building and managing regional media relations and outreach. You will be part of regional editorial board and support regional media news flow activation, production, and news flow insights.

You will track and analyse regional editorial agendas and opportunities aligned with the regional M&C; calendar and coordinate with local communications for news flow activation on local digital channels. In addition, you will act as contact person for regional spokespeople and responsible for identifying and managing their speech opportunities.

Requirements for this role

Have you worked with traditional and digital media activities and contributed to significantly increasing brand awareness? Are you a passionate and creative individual with a university degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or equivalent training/experience with significant related experience? We are looking for someone with experience working in a dynamic and fast moving environment and understanding of digital communications.

  • Experience in supporting/leading impactful traditional and new media outreach activities/campaigns, with examples to share
  • Experience in developing creative and effective messages to different target audiences through various channels and platforms, with examples to share

  • Good understanding and knowledge of written, verbal, and visual communications
  • Experience in managing crisis
  • Excellent communication skills with people at all levels
