Our Opportunity

This position is responsible for the maintenance, monitoring, and support of IT hardware, software systems and infrastructure to ensure availability and peak efficiency. This position also performs research, evaluation, and updating of infrastructure and systems hardware, software, and security systems to drive innovation and ensure the computer systems and network performance meet user, company, and partner satisfaction expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversees the daily operation of enterprise computer systems which may include hardware, software, and infrastructure as well as support and projects to ensure a positive user experience

  • Assists in the design, development, and maintenance of systems and/or infrastructure to meet the company's strategic initiatives

  • Performs high-level root cause analysis for service interruption recovery and creating preventive measures

  • Implements new/emerging hardware, software, and infrastructure strategies by conferring with vendors; evaluating, testing, and installing enhancements

  • Performs installation, maintenance and support of computer systems

  • Ensures the consistency and maintainability of existing computer systems by maintaining and enforcing policies, procedures and security measures to safeguard information resources

  • Assists in development of plans for implementation of new or upgraded computer systems via well-defined plans including procedures, deadlines, and accountability

  • Provides leadership in the developing and coordinating of projects for computer operations and enterprise systems administration

  • Performs troubleshooting as required. As such, leads problem-solving efforts often involving outside vendors and other support personnel and/or organizations.

  • Provides proposals for making purchasing decisions based on bid pricing provided; monitoring to ensure that accurate records are maintained

  • Applies patches and upgrades administrative tools and utilities as necessary to maintain secure computing environment

  • Maintains knowledge of developments in the area of systems, hardware and compliance to incorporate into the future upgrades

  • Develops, coaches and cross-trains the IT team to ensure that technical support is available company wide

  • Assists in a variety of other Information Technology related activities and initiatives on an as-needed basis

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or related experience and 4+ years of related experience or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.

  • Working knowledge of Windows and networking technologies

  • Broad knowledge of data processing systems, concepts, and methodologies

  • Strong customer orientation

  • Analytical and problem solving skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies

  • Ability to work independently, set priorities and deliver results

  • Ability to occasionally work evenings and weekends with little or no advanced notice

  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
