Job Description
Installs, troubleshoots, repairs and configures access control, security alarms, and closed circuit television systems. Provides technical service to customer Fire Safety systems including technical support during the installation and commissioning of new or expanded systems. Provides technical service to customer Fire Safety systems including technical support during the installation and commissioning of new or expanded systems. Responds to customer service calls in a timely and efficient manner, troubleshoots and repairs as needed. Performs service tasks required to fulfill service requirements for time and material, emergency service, and contractual agreements. Completes necessary documentation as per the Service Delivery Policy. Communicates with central dispatch on current work order status and receives updates on outstanding customer issues on a daily basis following the Service Delivery Policy. Participates in after hours service program. Assists on installation projects during non-utilized time.
Associate's degree in Electronics or related field. 1-3 years experience. Working knowledge of fire alarm panels, security systems, card access and video matrix systems. Software House or NICET certifications a plus. General knowledge of electronics, components, and construction. Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a short period of time. Completes necessary certification courses on internal and external products used. Certification completed at the senior level. Good verbal and written communication skills for summarizing tasks performed with customer. Strong customer service skills. Good verbal and written communications skills. Skilled in the PC applications and in the use of word processing and spreadsheet programs Ability to lift seventy-five (75) pounds unassisted. Must have valid state drivers license
