St. Mary's Good Samaritan Medical Assistant - St. Joseph Family Medicine Practice - Full Time - Days in St. Charles, Missouri
Exceptional Patient Care: Medical Assistants create a positive patient care experience by greeting, preparing, exiting and following up with patients for providers according to established competency guidelines, policies and procedures. Patient care responsibilities are provided under the direct supervision of a physician or designated dependent provider who is given such designation in writing (i.e., collaborative practice agreement or physician assistant supervision agreement). Direct supervision of medical assistants means a physician or designated mid-level provider, must be immediately available to furnish assistance and direction, but does not require the supervising physician or designated mid-level provider be present in the room when medications are administered, or within any other physical boundary, as long as he or she is immediately available. Immediate availability means a supervising physician or designated mid-level provider can be physically present without delay and is not otherwise engaged in performing another procedure or service that he or she could not interrupt.
