JOB DESCRIPTION: Jack Henry is seeking a Technical Writing Intern in Springfield, Missouri. Our spring internship focuses on the following professional objectives among other educational projects:

  • Creating documentation to enhance JHA’s processes

  • Formatting existing documentation to adhere to the JHA Style Guide

  • Assisting with documentation revisions

  • Editing customer-facing documentation

  • Testing HTML documentation

  • Assist the team in their day-to-day service to internal and external customers

Throughout the internship, you will be assigned an experienced mentor as well as a collaborative team to complete projects relevant to the department needs and your degree requirements. You will receive training on the latest documentation creation software and work directly with writing professionals on assignments.


  • Attending an accredited college or university.

  • Pursuing a degree in Technical Writing, Professional Writing, English, Journalism or Technical Communications.

  • Must remain in good academic standing throughout internship.

  • Able to work up to25 hours per week throughout the internship.

  • Meet legal requirements to work in the U.S.for an indefinite period of time.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Student internship location will bein Springfield, Missouri, so students should have access to housing in that area. Paid internship. Dates will run January 2017 through June 2017, beginning with an orientation and concluding with a project showcase. Monday through Friday, flexible hours dependent upon students' course schedule.
