IBM Communication Advisor in SOMERS, New York

The CIO Organization Change Management and Talent team are responsible for support CIO Leaders in driving organization change through agile methods, leadership practices and building a world class talent based organization.Job Duties:The Internal Communications Advisor is responsible for developing and implementing targeted internal communications strategies in alignment with the strategic initiatives and priorities identified in the business plan to inform and engage our employees. This position is responsible for creating communication content and materials and managing internal channels to support effective change management plans driven by the CIO Business Plan, People Strategy and individual Domains product releases.

  • The role is required to research trends in communication like social networks, gain approval to design and then implement these new communication channels.

  • Identify specific internal audiences and develop targeted approaches and message platforms that meet the need of each audience

  • Lead in the development of communication tools and distribution channels to disseminate information across the organization

  • Develop methodology to determine the effectiveness of internal communications and make recommendations to improve approach

  • Well-developed planning and organizational skills while working under tight deadlines and managing multiple projects.

  • 5 plus years’ experience in dedicated internal communications and communications or change management roles.

  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing internal communications and change management best practice and standards

  • Demonstrated superior verbal and written communication and editing skills.

  • Ability to translate complex information into clear, compelling messages and to create targeted, effective communications to meet the needs of multiple stakeholders.

  • Well-developed interpersonal and team skills with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment.

  • Ability to work professionally with all levels of management and to deliver results
