We challenge you to lead MRI related innovation in Philips Research China as a Principal Research Scientist on MRI. You will get the exciting opportunity to define and drive MRI research portfolio in the organization, close collaborating with global research team and MR business.

Your responsibilities

As a Principal Research Scientist you are responsible for:

  • Contribute to shape the strategic innovation portfolio on MRI in Philips Research China

  • Functional lead and inspire a group of MRI research scientists in the organization

  • Collaborate with global research team to carry out industrial research to fulfil local and global business needs

  • Build up and enhance academic and clinical collaboration through open innovation

Your team

Philips Research is the essential force of front end innovation. Philips Research China was established in 2000. The Professional Health department is working on medical imaging, Healthcare IT and chronic disease management.

You will be part of the medical imaging and clinical application team and report directly to the team leader. You will have close interaction with global research team on MRI and relevant local/global Business Unit.

We are looking for

  • Completed MSc and/or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Biomedical Engineering or other related field. The candidate shall with have >8 years for MSc and/or >6 years for PhD on relevant working experience;

  • MR image reconstruction and/or MR imaging processing and analysis;

  • Development experience with MRI pulse sequences is a plus;

  • Quick learner;

  • Highly motivated and passionate on MRI research ;

  • Strong communication and presentation skills in English;

  • Chinese is a plus.
