Job Description


The Accounting Analyst assists in forecasting, budgeting and analysis, updating forecasts and long range planning, month end activities and balance sheet account reconciliations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional accounting related experience.


  • CPA or other equivalent certification preferred.

  • PeopleSoft or similar software experience preferred.

  • Proficient skills using Microsoft Excel to work with pivot tables, formulas and V-lookups

  • Experience with journal entries, general ledger and analysis

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.


  • Records, classifies, and posts details of business transactions in accordance with accounting and auditing policies and procedures.

  • Prepares journal entries and monthly financial statements.

  • Performs balance sheet account analysis and reconciliation to the General Ledger.

  • Work with operation managers on monitoring ongoing projects.

  • Complete financial analysis of data and variance analysis.

  • Assists with the monthly and annual budget and forecast with input from the various department heads and managers.

  • Performs monthly review of P&L reports; may include variance analysis for General Managers and their direct report Managers.

  • Perform other routine daily and monthly responsibilities including reconciliations, forecasting, and other relevant projects.

  • Process month-end journal entries
