Job Title: Strategic Account Manager (SAM)- San Francisco - Bay Area

Reports To: SVP Sales and Marketing

Position Summary: Responsible for developing, maintaining and growing client relationships in order to drive revenue. Performs research to identify quality prospects and targets at each account. Target audience is Global 2000 companies where Intellectual Property is critical to their business model.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities including the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Conduct business outreach to meet monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets. • Create sales campaigns focused on communicating and nurturing relationships with customers, and driving repeat sales • Help Marketing create and sales-related collateral and Field Marketing outreach events for your territory • Support sales efforts with client research and market analysis

Competency: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

• Has a current network of contacts in the F1000 market space in the West that can be leveraged to drive meetings, pipeline and overall awareness of our offerings. • Ability to identify and close business at strategic accounts. • Ability to understand and effectively communicate the AOP value proposition. • Ability to advise clients on the proper solution to meet their needs and assess opportunities for new products/services. • Excellent at developing and maintaining relationships. • Strong communication and presentation skills – speaks clearly and persuasively. Writes clearly and succinctly. • Needs to use SalesForce (SFDC) proficiently for tracking activity, pipeline and revenue metrics • Needs to be proficient with email marketing tools and campaigns for outreach • Adaptability – manages competing demands; changes approach or method to best fit the situation; able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events. • Innovation – meets challenges with resourcefulness; develops innovative approaches and ideas. • Intellectual property – Knowledge of intellectual property industry is highly desirable

Qualifications: The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. He/she should have a proven track record of success in solution selling. This individual should be a “self-starter” with a “Franchise Owner” mentality and have the ability to work under pressure to meet inflexible deadlines and achieve required sales objectives.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in an senior sales representative capacity. Strong motivational, innovative, and interpersonal skills. Master of Business Administration is considered a plus.

Location: Candidates need to be based in the San Francisco Bay Area or within easy driving distance for frequent client meetings.
