Symitar, the recognized leader in core data processing solutions for U.S. credit unions is seeking an experienced and dynamic infrastructure architect to help expand our portfolio of infrastructure products and services.
Working alongside a team of technical Product Managers and engineers, the Enterprise Infrastructure Architect will oversee existing vendor partnerships while forging new alliances to capitalize on industry trends and new innovations. 8+ years of experience with infrastructure-related delivery and support.
Excellent knowledge of infrastructure technologies including midrange systems, storage solutions, virtual systems, and alignment to business requirements
Previous leadership experience
Bachelor’s degree within business, computer science, MIS or CIS
Previous experience with any orall of the following technologies:IBM Power Series, IBM AIX, NetApp Storage, Brocade Communication Systems, SilverPeak, SolarWinds Management Solutions, Citrix, and VMWare
Research and development experience including ability to compose white papers and technology assessments
Ability to present and discuss architecture strategy in user forums and education conferences
Prior financial services industry
Designs the enterprise infrastructure architecture in support of our core application offering (data, redundancy planning, performance metrics, etc.) ensuring alignment of technology to the business strategy.
Provides input to product roadmap.
Responsible for translating the customer’s business requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs for large complex IT solutions and integrating architecture. Often project-based, sometimes working at customer sites, and typically measured by utilization (i.e., billable hours).
Completes project level architecture reviews and vendor selection.
Serves as architectural subject matter expert.
Remains current with industry developments and incorporates applicable technologies into solutions.
Provides technology mentoring to staff. May act as a team lead.
