As an DevOps Engineer at TE2, you will lead site reliability initiatives that will facilitate the automation of existing production systems orchestration and key components of TE2’s eOS (Experience Operating System) that drives personalization, recommendations and commerce for the physical world, in real-time.
Challenges you may tackle include
• Enabling instrumentation, metrics collection, and monitoring of AWS lambda FaaS or otherwise immutable containers • Enforcing the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of profile data used to build an overall snapshot of a consumer • Exposing HTTP/2 or websockets • Assisting in the design and implementation of a secure, restful API Gateway with routing to platform micro-services • Continuously deploying our software into a cloud-based platform using tools such as Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes
Some of the technologies you will be working with
• AWS orchestration: terraform • Microservice Technologies: Eureka, Ribbon, Hystrix • Couchbase (NoSQL, N1QL), Elasticsearch, MySQL • RedHat derived linux, Alpine and/or CoreOS • Continuous delivery integration through Jenkins pipelines
• 3+ years of highly-available and/or high-volume site reliability engineering • 2+ years of infrastructure automation, configuration management, and/or container orchestration • Deep domain expertise in one or more areas: site reliability engineering, cloud security, real-time data/messaging platforms, linux systems administration, networking, storage • Strong communication skills, ownership acumen. Must be able to deconstruct complex problems and projects into execution detail • Strong grasp of security practices: L2-L7 frame/packet/session inspection, firewall configuration, intrusion detection/prevention, audit controls, GNU/linux tuning/hardening • Strong with one or more languages (e.g. Go (golang), Python, Ruby, bash) and git
