Work Schedule:Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Position Summary: Incumbents in positions at this level perform the full range of work related to program and policy research, analysis, development, evaluation, and/or operational and fiscal analysis related to an administrative specialty. Work requires applying a theoretical knowledge base to develop recommendations and conclusions. Incumbents often serve as program administrators.

The Development Administrative Analyst/Specialist is responsible for all administrative aspects of Jack Brown College of Business & Public Administration (JBCBPA) development office and supports related external relations and communication's activities. Under general supervision of the Director of Development (DOD), the incumbent will provide complex administrative and program support for the JBCBPA Development office. The incumbent will assist the DOD in support of the daily operations and activities of the JBCBPA Development office. The incumbent will assist the DOD on a variety of development communications, marketing and fund raising projects for the College and have responsibility for preparing materials, mailings, reports and coordinating volunteer and student worker support. The incumbent will manage the clerical functions of the office by performing duties such as telephone support, travel arrangements, maintain databases, ordering supplies, gift recognition letters, and gift transmittal forms in a timely manner, preparing gift account reports, etc. The incumbent will organize, coordinate and staff internal meetings for the DOD including Business Alliance, and internal committee and development meetings. The incumbent will assist in preparing solicitation materials, and coordinating face to face meetings and site visits with donors. The incumbent will provide development related event coordination and support including working with internal and external vendors and offices, mailing lists, invitations and RSVP's and on-site support. The incumbent will also solicit annual donations/memberships, in-kind gifts, and sponsorships as directed, as well as provide scholarship coordination and staffing the college scholarship committee. The incumbent will develop spreadsheets and maintain spreadsheets for tracking of JBCBPA development expenses including providing reports of actual expenses versus projected. The incumbent will reconcile accounts using PeopleSoft Financial system. The incumbent may perform other duties as assigned.
Applicants must possess the equivalent to a four-year degree in a related field. Applicants must have the equivalent to two years of related experience. Applicants must have strong oral and written communication skills along with strong organizational skills. Applicants must have a thorough knowledge of office methods, procedures and practices. Fluency in using a broad range of standard office software such as MS Office package is desired. The ability to maintain financial and personnel records is required along with the ability to interpret and apply a wide variety of policies and procedures and the ability to make independent decisions and exercise sound judgment. Applicants must have a commitment to accuracy and accountability in all aspects of the position. Applicants must have the ability to appropriately handle sensitive and confidential information along with the ability to handle multiple priorities. Applicants must have the ability to take initiative, anticipate problems, and address them proactively. Applicants must have the ability to analyze data and make accurate projections using business mathematics and basic statistical techniques. Applicants must possess the ability to interact positively with diverse university and community representatives along with the ability to develop strong working relationships with diverse faculty, staff and students.
Applicants must possess a willingness to work an adjusted schedule for occasional late hours for development related activities along with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
Preferred Qualification: One year of related experience in development office in higher education or non-profit is desired.
