Required: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Procurement, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, Engineering or related field.

Other Computer and Software Skills Required

Five years of related professional experience in any combination of areas such as the following: consultant to small businesses in management or technical skills, staff member within a business/economic development organization, manager or proprietor of a small business, or management and business planning experience in the private sector.

Description of Job Duties
Position function: Provide management and technical assistance and information services to manufacturing Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) businesses and to assist the Project Manager with overall operation of the program.
Responsible for all aspects of MBE business operations including marketing, management, financing, accounting, personnel, etc. Conduct client counseling, assist in the development and implementation of training events and workshops, promote Advanced Manufacturing Project services, network with community organizations involved in small business development, and assist in maintenance of computerized client database.
Provide counseling for MBE business clients in advanced manufacturing including needs assessments recommendations.
Assist in the development and implementation of workshops and conferences for businesses including participation as a speaker.
Assist Project Manager in working with community organizations to promote Advanced Manufacturing Project services and achieve program goals.
Act as a liaison between the Director and clients with special emphasis given to counseling activities.
Represent the Advanced Manufacturing Project at public and private sector affairs which require knowledge of Advanced Manufacturing Project operations and often provide promotional opportunities.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
