Kforce Customer Operations Associate in Saint Petersburg, Florida

Kforce has a client seeking a Customer Operations Associate in Saint Petersburg, FL. Under supervision, the Customer Operations Associate responds to and delivers superior service to internal and external customers, while building the trust of all shareholders and financial advisors and protecting the best interest of the funds. Contact with the customers may occur via general mail, electronic/written correspondence, and incoming or outgoing telephone calls. Responds to inquiries from shareholders, back-office personnel, financial advisors, and other interested parties. Adheres to all legal requirements (compliance rules) while servicing customers. Handles other responsibilities, including:

  • Performs complex research and good order review of incoming mail items

  • Prepares, inputs and verifies transactions using multiple company computer systems

  • Primarily processes work that is not in good order (NIGO), as well as work that requires more complex processing skills and problem resolution ability. This work includes but is not limited to: Legal Transfers, Beneficiary Distributions/Research, and Specialized Redemptions such as Simples, SEPS, 403b's, Re-characterizations and Roth Conversions

  • Also responsible for complex adjustments, Transfer Agent/Customer Operations reports, and timely completion of compliance related activities

  • Makes outbound telephone calls to shareholders, financial advisors, broker dealer back-offices, and other organizations to resolve transactions not in good order for processing

  • Services inbound calls related to Legal Transfers processing requests

  • Completes all transaction-related correspondence

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Equivalent experience should include working for a minimum of four years in a customer service environment, preferably some of that time in a Transfer Agent or financial operations environment where customer interaction is a critical component of the job

    • Investment industry experience preferred
  • Ability to multi-task using various systems to address customers' needs

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong emphasis on meeting performance (quality & productivity) targets

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team oriented environment and work within deadlines

  • Strong computer skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to follow instructions and schedules

  • Ability to type 30 wpm and perform accurate data entry

  • Good organizational skills and flexibility

  • Ability to independently solve complex problems

  • Ability to take ownership of issues and perform follow-up
