Provides routine, general diagnostic and theoretical respiratory care in general care areas under the direct supervision of a Registered Respiratory Therapist. Refers unusual situations to a supervisor, shift coordinator or registered therapist.
Recognizes and reposts abnormal findings and/or changes in patient status to Registered Respiratory Therapist.
Provides direct patient care and treatments.
Remains apprised of patient's plan of care and new orders or changes to the plan.
