As part of Patient Financial Services, Patient Registration is located throughout Barnes-Jewish Hospital. In addition to our patients being our customers, we have many other internal and external customers who depend on accuracy and promptness of the data and services we provide. Patient Access Representatives are placed in various departments to greet our customers and obtain data, which is then entered into the ADT system.
Performs scheduling, reservation, pre-registration and verification functions that ensure a pre-certification of hospital care if required and accurate reimbursement information for billing. Ensures patients are registered in a manner compliant with all government regulations.
Obtains complete and accurate information that enables the establishment of a medical record.
Coordinates workflow and staffing.
