Partners with the CIO, hospital presidents, and other key clinical and functional leaders to effectively plan and assess BJC Information Services strategies. Analyzes ways to improve operations, and works proactively to integrate clinical, administrative, and IT solutions. Ensures ongoing support of existing IT systems to provide strong customer satisfaction. Responsible for effective project development and implementation which yield desired business results and the management of capital project scope, functionality, budgets, milestones, and workflow integration.
Under general direction, formulates and defines system scope and objectives based on user needs. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents and maintains those programs. Consults directly with clinical and business users, and provides second-tier support to end users to ensure reliable application system availability and performance.
Partners with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions.
Provides Tier 2 support to end users for server or mainframe applications, and hardware.
Designs, codes, tests, implements, maintains and supports applications software that is delivered on time and within budget.
Analyzes and directs the development and creation of new code or the redesign, implementation and repurposing of existing code.
Participates in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation and buy vs. build recommendations.
Analyzes, develops, modifies, installs, tests and maintains operating systems and application software.
Provides technical analysis and support to internal personnel to determine feasible system and database solutions to substantial design and function issues.
Partners with outside vendors to resolve issues relating to software applications and packages for adaption and use system-wide.
Diagnoses, isolates and de-bugs software problems and performs problem resolution.
Monitors systems capacity and performance, plans and executes disaster recovery procedures.
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2-5 years
- No Experience
- Information Systems (IS)
- IS/Healthcare related
Licenses & Certifications
- Cert/Lic in Area of Expertise
- HL7 - 1 year or more
