The Childbirth and Parenting Education Program at Missouri Baptist is based on the philosophy of family-centered maternity care and freedom of choice in childbirth. We offer a variety of classes in which content is evidence-based and focused on the individual needs of our expectant parents and their families. Classes are taught by an expert staff of certified childbirth educators, OB registered nurses and doulas certified by DONA International.

Role Purpose

Responsible for providing education and instruction for childbirth, parenting and wellness classes.


  • Teaches childbirth and parenting classes.

  • Assesses, identifies and interprets appropriate information related to age specific needs.

  • Coordinates care and services between departments.

  • Assists with orientation of new instructors.

Minimum Requirements


  • Associate's Degree


  • 2-5 years

Supervisor Experience

  • No Experience

Preferred Requirements


  • Bachelor's Degree

Licenses & Certifications

  • ICEA/Lamaze

  • RN
