Administers hyperbaric oxygen therapy and diagnostic testing to patients.
Cleans and maintains the equipment.
Implement the physician's treatment orders and verify that the diagnosis is one of the approved conditions for Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) through consultation with the hyperbaric physician and a review of supporting documentation in the patient's medical record.
Inform patient and family, if appropriate, on the benefits, risks, contraindications, and safety issues of HBOT before patients first hyperbaric treatment
Comply with the completion and reporting requirements for safety drills, smoke hood training, and quality improvement activities.
Perform transcutaneous oxygen monitoring testing as ordered and per departmental policy.
