Role Purpose

An Advanced Practice Paramedic (APP) that has a comprehensive knowledge base and is able to diagnose and provide care for a broad range of medical emergencies. Provides advanced-level medical care including evaluation, treatment, primary care and stabilization to the ill and injured.


  • Conducts post-hospital release follow-up care including, but not limited to, monitoring medication, dressing changes, and checking vital signs.

  • Takes Emergency Department observation patients home, and conducts observation, provide needed care and report back to the physicians in the Emergency Department.

  • Reduces length of patient stay, by taking appropriately admitted patients home and monitor status, provide care and report back to physicians.

  • Conducts physical exams in patient's homes and follow up with physician as needed.

  • Observes, records, and reports to physician, patients conditions and reactions to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.

Minimum Requirements


  • High School Diploma or GED


  • 2-5 years

Licenses & Certifications

  • ACLS

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

  • Critical Care Course

  • CPR

  • Valid Driver's License

  • Mobile Integrated Health

  • Paramedic
