The Fuel Business Group combines activities associated with the conversion and enrichment of uranium and with the design and fuel production for nuclear reactors. The production capacities of the Group, one of the world's leaders in the sector, are undergoing modernization.

Supply Chain Department:

The Supply Chain Department is responsible for execution of the transactions in the US Foreign Trade Zone site established at the Richland, Washington site.

  • AREVA is seeking a Inventory Control Specialist for it's Richland, WA location. *

Duties will vary according to the specific area to which you are assigned but all areas include the following:

  • Maintain the inventory control database. Use of barcode program.

  • Maintain the inventory control database.

  • Executes the processes related to the material control of parts to ensure Material Control, Operations and other functions understand the processes to be used to manage and disposition of inventory.

  • Identifies risk and evaluates deficiencies while working with internal departs to appropriately remedy them.

  • Oversee the yearly non-nuclear Physical Inventory for the US Fuel Supply Chain.

  • Performs material control activities in accordance with the FTZ import/export procedures and requirements.

  • Documents production part scrap to be destroyed, maintains rejected materials storage control in designated areas and; documents rejected materials up to the final disposition maintaining records and control of the waste disposal documentation as per internal and government requirements in a Foreign Trade Zone.

  • Safely utilize fork lift truck, hand truck, and overhead crane in the performance of daily duties. Outside and physical movement of components to support production.

  • Inventory Control Specialist- High school diploma or its equivalent, plus 2-5 years of related experience.

  • Inventory Control Specialist, Sr. - High school diploma or its equivalent, plus 4-7 years of related experience. Or may require a Bachelor's degree with at least 2-4 years of experience in related field.

  • Computer literacy required including able to use SAP for material movements.

  • Candidate must be able to follow and carry out written and oral instructions and relatively complicated written instructions.

  • Ability to read, write, and conduct simple math calculations.

  • Good eyesight, manual dexterity, and good physical condition.

  • Must be physically able to lift 50 pounds, bend, stoop, and remain in standing position for extended periods of time.

  • Forklift abilities/experience required.

  • Functions well as a member of a team.

The following requirementsare desired and will be used to differentiate all candidates who apply for this position.

  • Strong understanding of the how AREVA uses parts to manufacture fuel assemblies and other components. This includes:

o Understanding of how parts are scrapped within the shop

o What items are consumed within the process

o How parts are returned to the PP&CP Center

o What parts are shipped to the customer

  • Mechanical aptitude

  • Basic equipment operation experience.
