(NASDAQ: VSAT) is developing products that will enable the Internet to be experienced as never before. The acceleration technology we build will enable people to flip through web pages as quickly as turning pages in a book.

          We seek an Engineer/Architect to join our team and take a leadership role in the innovation and evolution of our acceleration and internet technology. The candidate would bring their deep analytic capabilities, creativity, and broad experience in software and networking development to the process of researching, prototyping, designing, and implementing the next generation acceleration software.

          Responsibilities:
          Work with the team to invent technologies to make the Internet faster: even one second is too long for a page to load.

          Design robust high-volume applications and support rapid prototyping: using your strong understanding and Guru-level practical experience with C/C++.

          Build platforms, systems and networking infrastructure using your strong background in distributed systems, OS/kernel, network system design, and/or large scale storage systems.

          Create internal systems and tools to help the team become more productive: we constantly seek to improve efficiency by creating and using smarter systems.

          Take advantage of unique expertise to evolve and innovate the current product, for instance: web proxies, TCP and network performance analysis and tuning, web application development optimization, compression algorithms, IP multicasting, embedded systems and mobile apps, web browser development, developer tools (IDEs, large-scale build systems, compilers).
          Requirements


          • 8+ years’ experience in Object Oriented Programming (C++, Java, etc.)


          • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, or related field.


          • U.S. Citizenship or Lawful Permanent Residence status may be required for some projects in which case, verification of such status will be required upon accepting employment.


          • Travel up to 10%


          Preferences


          • MS in Computer Science, Math or related field.


          • Experience with networking protocols and/or web technologies (HTTP, HTTPS, HTML, CSS, and JS).


          • L2 networking/protocol experience


          • Experience leading small teams
