Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary Administrative Coordinator in Quincy, Massachusetts
Description Provides support and assistance to the Center for Quality and Patient Safety Department and the Medical Staff Office. In this role he/she will partner with and support the Center for Quality and Patient Safety and the Medical Staff Office.
Provides administrative support to the Center for Quality and Patient Safety and the Medical Staff Office, including but not limited to, any necessary administrative support activities for the credentialing and the Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE) and Focused Professional Practice Evaluation – (FPPE)/OPPE program.
Oversees invoice control and processing
Completes weekly payroll and ensures time schedule is complete as defined by department director
Oversees office functions including but not limited to supply ordering, equipment maintenance (copiers & facsimiles), file maintenance
Provides administrative support including but not limited to: new employee on boarding calendar, maintenance Outlook scheduling, as requested other general administrative needs
Manages, coordinates, handles, processes, and delivers all incoming and outgoing regular and courier mail for the Center for Quality and Patient Safety and the Medical Staff Office
Manages, coordinates, and maintains all aspects of the telephone & voicemail systems including adding new employees to directories and set up conferences lines
Initiates the collection of all information necessary for physician and allied health credentialing, and verifies information through primary sources as appropriate
Inputs provider data into Intellicred database system and the privileging module
Facilitate and ensure timely completion of appointment and/or reappointment applications
Maintain complete, accurate, and organized credentialing files
Process affiliation and education verifications request
Participates in special projects as required
Conducts Quality data entry
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements Associates Degree required Bachelor’s Degree preferred . Experience in medical staff credentialing and healthcare quality initiatives highly desired. Demonstrates organizational skills, with proven experience prioritizing work and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of computer applications; including but not limited to Intellicred, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Demonstrates ability to work closely and collaboratively with staff. Ability to take on new tasks and adapt to different work assignments Is detail-oriented and possesses exceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills
