The Interface Manager has the responsibility for managing technical interfaces between Alcatel-Lucent provided subsystems, interface between the communications system and other systems provided under the customer contract (i.e. Traction Power, SCADA, Fire Detection, station architects, etc.), and interface between the system Owner and Alcatel-Lucent subsystems.
The Interface Manager work includes the following:
Interface Authority Delegate
Develop and manage the internal and external management plan
Create actions and schedules for interface workshops, conferences, etc. to complete interface activities within the master project schedule requirements
Coordinate interface activities between internal engineering groups
Develop and review interface/ integration plans between internal engineering groups
Make decisions on interface actions based on research and coordination with project teams
Attend/ Host interface meetings as required and provide information/ instructions on the outcome of those meetings to other project team members
Manage the RFI/ RFID process between ALU and external stakeholders
Coordinate and resolve interface (physical, functional, and logical) actions with external parties
Manage the internal submittal review process
Collect interface and submittal information from project team members and package into a single voice package as needed
Manage the external document submission and review process
As part of the integration there will be no formal company-wide review of grades, since in most cases there has been limited or no change to positions. Legacy grade structures will continue to exist for some time until future harmonization on the existing Nokia grade structure. The job grade shown is indicative, and may be subject to change such that the final grade may be higher or lower than shown in this requisition.
Engineer preferably in telecommunications.
5 years experience of Telecommunications System Integration and/or Interface Management.
Experience in Customer Management
Understanding of the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation s network infrastructure
Computer Literate. Specifically in use of Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and Power point
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
