Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford is the heart and soul of Stanford Children’s Health. Nationally ranked and internationally recognized, our 311-bed hospital is devoted entirely to pediatrics and obstetrics. Our six centers of excellence provide comprehensive services and deep expertise in key obstetric and pediatric areas: brain & behavior, cancer, heart, pregnancy & newborn, pulmonary and transplant. We also provide an additional, wide range of services for babies, kids and pregnant moms.
The Clinical Nurse is responsible for performing the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation) and delivering safe therapeutic nursing care in consultation/collaboration with interdisciplinary members of the patient care team. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the ages of patients served on the assigned unit(s). Possesses the ability to assess and interpret appropriate data relative to age and to provide nursing care as needed as described in the unit’s policies and procedures: demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development through the life span; and possess an understanding of the range of treatments needed by patients.
Pediatrics at El Camino Hospital is an off-site unit for Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford. It has 30 beds with 2 patient populations, of general pediatric, oncology and eating disorder. The eating disorder is known as the Comprehensive Care program and uses a multidisciplinary approach in the treatment of eating disorders. A team of adolescent medicine specialists and child psychiatrists works together to ensure that all patients and their families receive the highest level of comprehensive care. Regular staff members also include teachers, recreational/ occupational/ physical therapists, nutritionists and psychiatrically and medically trained nurses to ensure that children receive all needed support during their treatment.

Schedule: 72 bi-weekly hours, 12-Hour, Night shifts, includes every other weekend.
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.
Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program. Prefer BSN.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience with one 1 year of Pediatric experience in an acute care setting. Experience with eating disorders preferred. One year of Psych experience preferred
Licensure/Certification: Current California RN License, Current AHA Healthcare Provider BCLS and PALScertification.APHON Chemo Provider preferred.
