The United Illuminating Company is seeking an Analyst in its Transmission Revenue and Control Department to support the departments’ current financial and compliance responsibilities. Your role will include performing various tasks under direct supervision related to transmission business activities of compliance, network load calculations, accounts receivable and accounts payable billings, work order review, and financial reporting. In addition you will build knowledge of company processes and services, solve straightforward problems, and respond to various internal requests. Once you have mastered these tasks, you will then learn from other team member’s higher level department tasks and responsibilities, provide support and assist in the completion of those tasks with the objective to perform those higher level tasks in the future.
This position requires a BS/BA degree in from an accredited college/university in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business plus 2 years’ experience performing analyses. Utility experience and SAP preferred, but not required. Other requirements include strong quantitative skills with the ability to use spreadsheets or other similar programs, strong written and verbal skills and the ability to use Microsoft Office.
