Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Director of Refugee Resettlement, the Family Case Management Program Manager will manage, oversee and direct the operations of the Family Case Management Program, which provides social supports for Adults with Children as an alternative to immigration detention. The program will be working with families – primarily from Central America – to ensure that families are apprised of their rights and responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Supervise FCMP staff including a Supervisor, at least four Family Case Managers, and Case Aides.

  • Manage the program’s budget.

  • Complete contractual forms, and serve as main contact for funder.

  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations; Oversee case supervision, review reports, and case notes.

  • Develop program forms; Organize and implement procedures for staff to perform case management services from intake to case closure, including protocols for conducting home visits, assessments, and follow up.

  • Assist staff to locate community resources to best serve clients with psychosocial, legal, medical, and educational services.

  • Work with Legal Immigration community partners to refer cases for legal orientation and representation.

  • Provide professional development opportunities for staff.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are generally 9:00 AM to 5 PM Monday - Friday. Flexibility with schedule is required.

  • Approximately 60% of time requires computer work and sitting at a work station.


Education and/or experience required:

  • Bachelor Degree.

  • A least three (3) years working in a social services setting with families and children.

  • A least two (2) years’ supervising case work and managing a program.

Skills, Licenses, and/or competencies required:

  • Strong time management, organizational and analytical skills.

  • Excellent oral and written communication.

  • Computer literate; ability to utilize the database systems to document service provision
