The Senior Project Manager is involved in the management of projects or programs and multiple projects or programs as directed by senior leadership. He/she supervises the preparation, development and maintenance of the Master Program Budget and Schedule, and updates the budget and schedule on a regular basis. Monthly Project Status Reports and Account Status Reports for each assigned project are prepared by the Senior Project Manager. Ability to lead and direct project teams, engage the client and a peer and senior level, and bring complex project issues to closure.

  • Sets,monitors and maintains the overall goals and objectives of the project or program.

  • Maintainsand develops the trust and confidence of the client and other key members ofthe Project Delivery Team.

  • Coordinatesthe activities of the Project Delivery Team, develop and maintain detailedProject Action Logs and follow-up to ensure adherence to commitments made tothe client. Documents all major project/program occurrences (meetings,discussions, decisions, changes, etc.).

  • Supervisesthe preparation, development and maintenance of the Master Program Budget andSchedule; updates each of those on a monthly basis.

  • Prepareson a monthly basis the Executive Status Report and Account Status Report foreach assigned project. Prepares and presents special reports as required.

  • Assistsin the implementation of policies and procedures of the Company and assurecompliance with same. Reads, understands and assures compliance with the CBRE’sProgram Management Manual.

  • RepresentsCBRE to the public, industry and the community in such a manner that will enhancethe reputation of the Company.

  • Takesan active role in marketing/sales, personal development and sales presentationsas requested.

  • Beknowledgeable of the qualifications and experience of key Project Delivery Teammembers’ firms and personnel such as: A/E, Contractor, Equipment Planners, TelecommunicationConsultants, etc.

  • Assistsin the negotiation of all major consultant contracts.

  • Performsother duties as may be assigned to enhance the development and growth of theorganization.

  • Exemplifya very positive attitude in all work efforts and act as a true team player.

  • Ensuresthe quality of all project support documents produced.

  • Developsnew client contacts and maintains existing client contacts to promote new andrepeat client engagements.

  • Detailedunderstanding of the challenges and differences of a healthcare project (not medicaloffice) verses projects in other industry sectors.

  • Generalunderstanding of the trends and issues impacting the healthcare industry.

  • Specificknowledge of the healthcare industry divisions – outpatient, acute, post-acuteand senior living; understanding of the facility differences.

  • Abilityto engage and communicate with a healthcare leadership team; including C-Suitepresentations and reporting.

  • Abilityto empathize with both the patient and provider to set the context for problemsolving within the project delivery process.

  • Basicunderstanding of real estate structuring, real estate documents, key deal terms(levers), and negotiation processes that occur in finalizing a real estatetransaction.

  • Understandingof the key facility trends impacting the healthcare industry – patient centeredcare, sustainability, operational efficiency, departmental adjacencies, etc.

Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values. Manages 3rd party project delivery resources/team (typically larger more experienced team). Responsible for identifying training needs, tracking performance, coaching, and motivating team members.

  • Bachelor’sdegree in related field; preferably in: Facility Planning, Architecture,Project Management or Construction Management.

  • Master’sDegree Preferred; Business Administration, Real Estate Management orDevelopment, Architecture, Facility Planning, or Construction Management.

  • 7-10years’ experience in healthcare project management; including constructionproject management.

  • Demonstratedunderstanding of Project Management procedures and processes related tooutpatient, acute, post-acute and senior living facilities; understanding ofthe facility differences.

  • Demonstratedability to set and consistently achieve goals.

  • Demonstratedability to effectively manage several projects simultaneously and ensurequality of work.

  • Abilityto travel 60% of the time.

  • PMP

  • LEEDAP preferred.

  • Abilityto comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents.

  • Abilityto respond effectively to the most sensitive issues.

  • Abilityto write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style.

  • Abilityto make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees,clients, top management and/or public groups.

  • Abilityto motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, andclient groups to take desired action.

  • Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles.

  • Ability to calculate complex figures.

  • Ability to forecast and prepare budgets.

  • Conducts financial/business analysis including thepreparation of reports.

  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite – Word,Excel, PowerPoint and Project.

  • Ability to read and understand architectural drawings; AutoCAD experience is preferred..

  • Knowledge in leases, contracts, and construction practicespreferred.

Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment.
