Job Summary

Responsible for the implementation of the credit risk management function, providing recommendations to the firmwide Credit Committee. Incumbents monitor and manage the credit exposure within portfolios and individual transactions, continually review counterparty credit-worthiness, and develop credit exposure methodologies in conjunction with risk analytic systems. Incumbent at this level is fully knowledgeable on the day-to-day activities of a product or process however will require input on more complex issues. This individual may have oversight of a small team of junior staff to ensure all daily responsibilities are completed. Individual at this level has some understanding of the firm's different businesses and the related economics.


The individual will be responsible for a portfolio of obligors on the Financial Institutions Team. They will be responsible for maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of their portfolio and industry, staying current on sector and regulatory developments. The candidate will be expected to proactively manage the credit quality of their portfolio highlighting issues such as exposure concentration on a timely basis. Strong written and verbal communications skills are critical.

7-10 years work experience in financial institutions or equivalent in credit and risk related function analyzing general corporate and financial institution customers. Minimum of 3 years experience in analyzing large corporations with revenues over $1 billion and conducting due diligence on such corporations, developing working relationships with customer’s senior management. • In depth knowledge of general corporate credit analysis, credit and risk management . Ability to build complex financial modeling to assess the customer’s repayment ability. Solid knowledge of loan documentation and structural risks in corporate finance Understanding regulatory environment in the U.S. (FRB, FDIC).
