The Engineering Systems Development (ESD) team is looking for an experienced Test Engineer for Continuous Improvement and Optimization of new and legacy Automated Test Equipment used for manufacturing and testing of medical devices. The ESD team is comprised of highly technical multi-disciplined Engineers reporting into the Advanced Manufacturing Organization of Philips Respironics, Inc. and is a major contributor to the Order 2 Cash (O2C) phase of the business. The ESD team extends its reach globally with multiple manufacturing locations in the United States and International sites in China and Costa Rica. The portfolio of products manufactured across these sites consist of Sleep and Home Respiratory devices, Sleep Diagnostic products, Patient Interface products, Oxygen delivery systems and Nebulizers. The incumbent must have a high level of technical expertise with automated test equipment. They must understand complex systems at a high level, but also be proficient in software, electrical and mechanical design leveraged to develop, maintain and optimize manufacturing test equipment.
Partner with internal groups (Engineering, Quality, Sourcing, Operations, etc.) to build strong relationships.
Specify goals and create plans on achieving them.
Monitor, communicate and present progress to Management.
Motivate others to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing.
Design, develop and optimize equipment to be used in the assembly and testing of electromechanical biomedical devices.
Work with drafting, model shop, manufacturing engineers and technicians to design and build improved assembly and test equipment for both electro-mechanical and electronic assemblies to improve quality and efficiency as well as mitigating human errors.
Provide engineering support for new product development relative to testing equipment needed to achieve reliability and performance within acceptable process capabilities and delivery goals
Meet FDA and ISO Quality System Requirements and quality standards.
Define, with their manager, goals for personal and professional development.
Take accountability to execute their personal development plan to grow within current role and to prepare for future roles.

We are looking for
Degree in Computer/Electronics/Electrical Engineering or related job history and experience
5+ years of work experience with a proven track record of problem solving and relationship building with both external and internal customers.
5+ years technical design experience in area of study. (electrical/software/manufacturing/automation)
Ability to write professional reports, test specifications and procedures.
Conduct basic and statistical analysis.
Experience with medical device manufacturing strongly preferred.
Knowledge of how to conduct FDA-compliant validation for test systems and software.
Technical leadership experience preferred
Strong interpersonal skills required. The ability to provide coaching and constructive feedback a must.
