HCA, Hospital Corporation of America Ultrasound Technologist in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
Performs diagnostic procedures with the use of ultrasound, with protocols outlined by the radiologist. Operates diagnostic equipment, develop films, and prepares room with necessary equipment and supplies for the procedure. Other duties include, but are not limited to, clerical, scheduling, transportation, ordering supplies, inventory, cleaning and anything deemed necessary by the medical imaging management team. Responsible for training of new employees and the overall operation of the ultrasound department.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: ARRT or RDMS/RVT eligible
Education: Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology or Ultrasound. RVT or RDMS registry eligible.
Experience: 3 years as an ultrasound Technologist preferred.

III. Degree of Supervision Required: Involves general guidance and direction by Department Manager. The employee will be expected to perform most job duties independently and in accordance with established departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
Physical Requirements: Involves lifting more than 50 pounds, reaching, walking, standing, twisting, turning, kneeling and bending are required. Employee must be able to walk through the dark room door in order to process x-ray film.
