Term employment is an employment status in which the Bank hires an individual for a designated period of time, not exceeding 2 years. The term employee can perform any job function within the Bank, receiving all the benefits of a regular status employee, except separation pay programs, merit increases, job posting capabilities or holding a corporate title. If you are converted to a regular employment status position or are hired in a different regular employment status position within the Bank, the time worked as a term employee will count towards all benefits.
We are looking for a qualified candidate to work in our Lockbox Services department as a Remittance Specialist I for a period of 6 months not to exceed 2 years.
Receive incoming first class and registered type mail; inspect transactions and contents to determine if acceptable for processing by adhering to customer instructions. Remove contents of assigned customer mail received; ensure that items to be processed have proper payee, signature and are not post- or stale-dated; separate acceptable/processable items into two groups of items, checks and invoices. Process "cash" transactions in conjunction with work director or supervisor, verifying that cash transaction is acceptable for processing/depositing. Batch checks for system input. Attach appropriate invoice and copies and prepare completed package for mailing to customer. Include unprocessable items. May operate personal workstation terminal for inputting, editing, and capturing customer transactions; ensure a balance condition exists by validating on-screen and/or output reports against check/batch totals. Perform data entry functions as required. Perform entry level customer service functions responding to customer inquiries regarding research, adjustment, and return item processing. May assist in the training of entry level personnel. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Typically requires a high school diploma or G.E.D. and 1 to 2 years of technical experience. Requires proficiency in operating 10-key, good organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet strict time constraints.
Must work Sundays and holidays on Monday.
