Jack Henry and Associates Technical Support ( IBM iSeries) Engineer in Monett, Missouri
Centurion Disaster Recovery is looking to hire a Technical Support Engineer that will be responsible for customer support, new installations, training, documentation and testing.The environment that you are working in is IBM iSeries OS and you will work on the Centurion Hosted High Availability (CHHA) product to enhance the recovery options for JHA’s banking applications (20 / 20 and SilverLake). This environment provides the customer with an off-site replication of their production server to JHA’s secure data center in Branson MO. The replication takes place in near real time to an IBM partition connected to the customer’s network.
The work schedule for this position is Friday – Monday (7:00 – 5:00pm CST) and at times you may need to work holidays, weekends, or extended hours as business needs dictate to satisfy departmental requirements.You will be a part of a team of 3 members that are distributed across various JHA locations.
This position is open to being filled in Mendota Heights, MN / Lombard, IL / Springfield, MO / Monett, MO / and or Allen, TX. We are looking for a highly motivated team member that works well in a group environment, as well individually directly with customers as you will primarily support JHA’s external customers. Travel is up to 25% and done on a Monday – Friday; mainly for training, education and or conference. If you are interested in this position, please apply on or before October 24, 2016.
Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Technical Support Engineer working in an IBM iSeries (AS400 / iSeries / Power Series) environment.

Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Experience with Vision Solution’s ( MIMIX ) software is preferred.
Experience working in an IT department for the Banking industry is preferred.
Interacts with product support personnel, the customer, and Centurion recovery personnel. Provides technical assistance to customers.
Will be involved in customer installations, upgrades, and training.
Provides support to customers/users if product issues are encountered.
Analyzes the problem as described by the customer and determines the best course of action.
Interacts directly with the customer/user when the product is highly technical or sophisticated in nature, such as with systems level software where the user has a technical background.
Includes all appropriate departments to facilitate a successful resolution to any client issue.
Reports design, reliability and maintenance problems or bugs to software engineering. Creates defect records on all reported issues with supporting files and examples for development to create code fixes.
Prepares test environment when necessary to simulate, document or recreate errors or problems reported by customer to determine appropriate action.
May prepare test environment and test new enhancements or other internal quality testing.
Maintains familiarity with company products by attending training classes, observing experienced support personnel, reading software documentation, and participating in on-line training programs.
May bid and complete Customer Work Requests (CWRs) in accordance with company standards.
