Jack Henry and Associates Systems / Network Engineer in Monett, Missouri
The Gladiator Network System teams is known for providing all of its Jack Henry branded clients with top tier network and system technologies and an excellent customer experience. We are looking for individuals who are self-motivated and love to work closely with clients and develop strong relationships with their team members.
The Ideal candidate should have experience with providing server / system network support for external customers. The Network Engineer will also be responsible for providing support handling switch / route issues. The environment you will support is a combination of cloud technologies and windows OS. Travel would be up to 5% based on business needs fortraining and conferences. Position is open to being filled Remote or Springfield, MO / Monett, MO / Allen, TX and Lenexa, KS. Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering.
Must have experience with any of the following: configuration, implementation and support with Physical host servers and virtual servers (VMware Vsphere 4.x or higher).
Must have experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
Must have experience with Windows server 2008 and newer.
Must have experience with Storage Area Networks (SAN) and storage devices.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Applicable technical certification(s) preferred (MCSE, MCITP, VMWARE VCP & Cisco CCNA.
VMware VIEW and Citrix experience is preferred.
Dell EqualLogic SAN experience is preferred.
Dell Server experience is preferred.
iSCSI storage network experience is preferred.
Development and maintenance of cloud infrastructure is preferred.
Meraki experience is preferred.
Responsible for providing support to virtual network environments with SAN storage devices and Windows servers.
Support applications and peripherals on servers including tape backup hardware and software, email software, anti-virus software, etc.
Support current network operating systems on new or existing devices and/or communication equipment including routers and switches.
Corresponds with customers and other divisions within the company to insure all customer concerns and issues are resolved in a timely manner.
Installs current network operating system on new or existing devices and/or installs communication equipment including routers, switches and firewalls.
Installs software on networking devices.
Provides phone support to employees or customers relative to networking technology.
Analyzes network topologies to determine potential issues and makes suggestions for recommended changes.
Creates network assessments and certifications.
Assists and mentors less experienced peers.
Installs current network operating server software on new or existing server-class hardware and/or installs communication equipment including routers, terminal servers, switches and firewalls.
Installs supporting applications and peripherals on the above mentioned servers including tape backup hardware and software, email software, anti-virus software, etc. and/or implement technologies.
Installs user workstation hardware, operating software and various application software and/or pre-configured equipment.
Configures user IDs and customer-specific settings on servers and transfers data from the old environment to the new environment.
Corresponds with customer and other divisions within the company to insure all customer concerns and issues are resolved in a timely manner.
Assists Sales by analyzing customer requirements and recommending appropriate products and services.
Prepares statements of work relative to upcoming network installations and general preparations for installations.
