Jack Henry & Associates is seeking an Accounting Supervisor for our Treasury Services department. The Accounting Supervisor works from the corporate office in Monett MO. The Accounting Supervisor is responsible to oversee transaction settlement for various reconciliation groups within Jack Henry & Associates. The Accounting Supervisor supervises 4-6 remote employees to provide leadership, coaching, and discipline of the team. The Accounting Supervisor assists in the month-end process, general ledger journal entries, and cash forecasting with the Treasury Services Manager. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
6 years of working experience in Treasury, Corporate Accounting, or Bank Operations
Proven previous leadership or supervisory experience
Ability to meet aggressive deadlines
Ability to travel overnight to visit with remote employees
AAP Certification (Accredited ACH Professional)
CTP Certification (Certified Treasury Professional)
Oversees basic accounting functions, such as preparing and posting entries to the GL.
Monitors balance sheet cash accounts. Assists in weekly cash forecast preparation.
Responsible for oversight of daily cash settlement procedures and reconciliation review for large transaction volumes across multiple lines of business.
Ensure employees follow settlement guidelines and practices and that procedures are consistent and appropriate in each line of business.
Meet daily deadlines for settlement ACH/Wire transfer transactions. Oversees employees in non-local office locations. Must be able to remotely supervise these employees and travel occasionally.
Assists managers in resolving cash account issues. Discusses transactions with managers to properly classify transactions.
Works with banks on a daily basis to obtain information on cash transactions including wires and ACH's. Relays cash transaction information to appropriate departments for processing and records transactions in the journal.
Assists time and expense specialists in resolving time and expense issues with employees and their managers. Prepares monthly time and expense accrual journal entries.
Prepare/review employee payroll deduction files and support.
Create processes and reports on an as needed basis.
May assist with hiring and firing decisions.
