Right now we-re hiring aCategory Sourcing Manager.This position demands a solid procurement background with the ability to strategically negotiate contracts, maintain supplier/vendor performance analysis, implement related purchasing commercial terms, and the ability to manage multiple projects. This position reports directly to the Vice President, Category Sourcing, Development & Distribution.-
Now, if you were to come on board as one of ourCategory Sourcing Managers,we-d ask you to do the following for us:
Implement category procurement strategies to support business plans.
Develop and ensure all RFP, RFQ, RFI documents are complete, capture stakeholder and user concepts, include legal terms and conditions.
Set priorities and ensure timely completion of tasks within area of responsibility.
Facilitate the competitive procurement process and resulting contract negotiations, ensure best practices are followed, and all required technical/financial evaluations are complete, corporate approval procedures and compliance requirements are adhered to, and contracts are properly executed.
Maintain auditable documentation for all competitive procurements (RFP, RFQ, and RFI).
Facilitate all required communications to vendors throughout the procurement competition to final award and debriefing.
Consult and communicate with all levels of management and sectors in regards to corporate procurement and its functions, policies, procedures, purchasing methods in compliance with corporate policy.
Develop and maintain professional relationships and network with internal customers, suppliers, and other procurement professionals.
Set aggressive and timely financial goals.
Implement supplier and product rationalization program.
Perform analysis of product supply and value chains to accurately identify where cost, value, risk and opportunities exist.
Use formal analysis tools such as cost models, portfolio analysis, supplier reverse marketing, and tenders to develop source plans.
Develop, manage, and communicate information to the team related to raw materials, acquisitions, divestitures, economic conditions, and product and technology innovations.
Lead and conduct quarterly business performance reviews with representatives from key business stakeholders and suppliers.
Work closely with distribution and compliance teams to identify efficiencies within the supply chain model of manufacturer backhaul and packaging utilization.
Lead the development of collaborative agreements with potential third parties.
Perform special projects or other duties as assigned.

You have at least five years of purchasing/procurement experience with a post-secondary education in purchasing or related; preferred candidates will have formal training in strategy and negotiation, experience in supply chain management, and a foodservice background.
