Now, if you were to come on board as one of ourAccount Managers,we’d ask you to do the following for us:

  • Manage a set of relationships that can yield $1M+ in revenue for Foodbuy.

  • Network to open up new revenue opportunities.

  • Be held responsible for the profitability of your portfolio.

  • Work collaboratively to prepare the annual budget targets and be responsible for generating the plan and execution of the plan to achieve the targets.

  • Build meaningful strategic relationships with middle to senior level decision-makers in purchasing and operations. Respond to, and at times anticipate, the client’s needs and excel at meeting those needs.

  • Develop and grow business with identified accounts through behavioral influence and effective relationship building; plus identify opportunities, lead the analysis process, and prepare presentations.

  • Show initiative and visible leadership when mining new business opportunities within existing accounts.

  • Consolidate and strategize on a broad range of account activities, including client business expansion, menu engineering, business goals, etc.

  • Keep abreast of industry and market trends and fulfill the role of strategic partner so that Foodbuy can fulfill its core service, offering innovative purchasing support.

  • Report monthly on client participation in programs.

  • Perform annual reviews with clients on their past, present, and future goals.

  • Provide supervision, direction, and coaching of direct reports in order to complete projects to grow the business.

  • Participate in departmental initiatives, including process re-engineering, template creation and review, and departmental strategic planning.

  • You have at least five years of industry experience (foodservice or purchasing preferred).

  • You have a post-secondary education degree or diploma in business-related studies.

  • You have demonstrated ability to influence growth with internal and/or external clients.

  • You have high proficiency in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel and Outlook.

  • You have the ability to work in a leadership position on a high performing team; you add to a positive, proactive departmental focus.

  • You show good judgment and professionalism in dealing with both clients and internal team members.

  • You must be able to handle job-related stress, particularly with respect to meeting multiple deadlines and managing clients and Foodbuy/Compass teams.

  • You must be able to work with little supervision and effectively manage time and priorities.

  • You have a strong sense of conviction and knowing when to push back to achieve desired results.

  • You have a genuine interest in the success of Foodbuy clients and facilitate that success by introducing and implementing innovative purchasing solutions.

  • You must be able to communicate effectively and have the ability to adapt communication style depending on the audience.
