Jack Henry and Associates Software Engineer in Mendota Heights, Minnesota
ProfitStars, a division creating complimentary applications in the banking industry, is looking for a talented Software Engineer to join our fast-paced, leading edge, cloud-based product.Our team includes 15 developers that are distributed across various Jack Henry locations. Software Engineer will be working on a new project that is consolidating existing projects into a new single code based. The business domain for the products includes the following business domains: Profitability (most and least profitable customers) Budgeting, Forecasting and Loan Pricing.
This exciting opportunity will provide you the ability to use Angular 1.3, TypeScript, Bootstrap, Entity Framework, Microsoft Azure, WebAPI, and Protractor to create elegant solutions that perform and scale at the highest level. This position will have input into the architecture of the application. Development is more middle and backend but will have opportunity to work on all layers of technology stack. You will be workingin a distributed environment. Having knowledge of up to date software build and release processes, such as Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery is highly peferred and any previous experience withtest driven development strategies and tools is preferred. This position is open to being filled in Omaha, NE and or Mendota Heights, MN. Travel is up to 5% for potential conferences / meetings.
The Software Engineer participates in the technical design and implementation of new products or enhancements. Participates in all phases of the development cycle: concept, technical design, prototype, code development, testing, release to QA and implementation. Must have a minimum of 5 years of technical experience in software development.
Must have a minimum of 3 years software development with C#.Net
Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Azure or Amazon AWS Platform as a Service model is preferred.
Experience with unit testing frameworks such as NUnit or Protractor is preferred.
Experience with troubleshooting performance issues on the server and client side is preferred.
Experience with developing Single Page Applications is preferred.
Experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS ) and MSBuild is preferred.
Provide input on product architecture on a regular basis.
Completes product technical design and prototyping, software development, bug verification and resolution.
Performs system analysis and programming activities which require research.
Provides technical/engineering support for new and existing applications from code delivery until the retirement of the application.
Provides reasonable task and project cost/effort estimates.
Ensures timely, effective, and quality delivery of software into production.
Develops and tests applications based on business requirements and industry best practices.
Creates required technical documentation.
Adheres to documented departmental and corporate standards. May participate in the definition and documentation of standards.
Collaboratively works with QA team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
Collaboratively works with customer support team to resolve or diagnose defects.
Assists in training and mentoring less experienced peers.
